Reading
- Review of Alphabet and letter sounds
- Begin reading mini books & Poems with sight words.
- Reading stories from our Reading Books and retelling by various methods, such as drawings, graphic organizers and verbally.
- Sight Words: A,and, I, see, the, my, Jesus, like, the, me, to, be, come, are, is, this, you, go, can, am, on, we,
- Writing Class books; I like..., The Snow Day, My Favorite Season, Penguins are Cool, Our Families, Animals Hibernate,
- Complete ABC book with a sentence for each word and a picture can be added.

- Family is a Sign of God's Love
- God gaves us our Church Family, too
- Jesus lived in a Family, called the Holy Family

Math- Chapter 1 number sense; subitizing, one-to-one correlation
- Chapter 2 comparing numbers 0-5; Greater than, Less than, equal to (same)
- Chapter 3 numbers from 6-9; write, count and show
- Chapter 4 Compare and represent numbers to 10
- Chapter 5 Addition: add to, more
- Chapter 6 Subtraction: take away, less
- Chapter 9 Geometric shapes (circle, square, triangle, rectangle)
- Review of Chapter 9 with Practice pages
- Chapter 7 Number sense 11-19
Science - Our Five senses
- Science Skills; measure, observe, sort,
- Animals; Pretend/real, what they need to live, how they are different (size, shape, outer coating)
- Plants: types, what they need.
Social Studies - Being Good Citizens; following rules to show respect and responsibility and to stay Safe
- My Country; symbols, our Flag, voting to make a choice

- Our Long ago Neighbors, Native Americans who helped the Pilgrims

- Create a timeline of you from birth to now. Include minimally an event for each age, 0-6.
Our Catholic virtue for
March: Understanding
Please be sure to send in a snack daily with your child. Kindly send in a fresh fruit/vegetable, cheese, crackers or yogurt tubes ( like Go-gurt) for snack. Students are encouraged to bring in a refillable water bottle (spill-proof). Please do not send fruit cups. Please remember to send in any needed utensils. Also, we are a Peanut and Nut Free Room. Thank you!
